Shuttle Enters Commercial Market for Development of Applied and Professional Applications
(TAIPEI, TAIWAN – June 3) Shuttle Inc. will display all of the products the company is presenting during Computex at its headquarters in Taipei’s Neihu District to let overseas customers gain an overall understanding of Shuttle’s desktop and educational products as well as its OEM design capabilities. This year, Shuttle's theme is Commercial Applications, including key products such as XPCs, Slim PCs, All-in-One PCs, NAS and other applications under the company’s branded PC Business Center. Also on display will be Shuttle’s Digital Signage and kiosk-application players the latest DS47 equipped with Dual-Core Intel® Celeron 847 processors for fanless Full-HD systems. Shuttle is also launching its first face recognition product, the HR70 and the turnkey solution for the education segment includes an EDUPAL classroom version and an EDUPAL cloud version. The classroom version includes Pad to Pad functions so teachers can use various vehicles such as desktop, notebook and tablet PCs to understand students in study environments outside the classroom. The cloud version includes Exam Platform and Homework Platform.
Shuttle's Product Roadmap at Computex:
The DS47 for digital signage and kiosks is based on a thin client equipped with Intel’s Celeron 847 1.10GHz dual-core processor including Intel’s HD graphics core that can play Full-HD 1080p high-definition video and audio. The system integrates ideal cooling thermal module without cooling fan, allowing each component in the system to dissipate heat quickly away from the chassis for 24/7, long-term stable operation. The 1.3-liter volume slim body design has a thickness of less than 40mm. On the side of the system is a VESA Mount standard screw holes as well as plenty of RS232/RS422/RS485, USB and other I/O interfaces, making the DS47 perfectly suited for digital signage kiosks where the host needs to be placed in a small space.
The HR70 -- At last year’s Computex, Shuttle showcased its concept for facial recognition applications. This year at Computex, Shuttle officially unveiled its first face recognition system, the HR70. The system is equipped with a 7-inch touch screen and two Full HD lenses with a biaxial ± 15 degree angle for face recognition. At a distance of 50 cm, the system can detect artifacts within an upper and lower range of 70 cm, and it is equipped with an automatic detection LED that in dimly lit environments can also provide accurate identification. In addition, the HR70 has an optional fingerprint reader, an RFID smart card reader and more to provide double or even triple authentication, offering an even higher level of security.
