Shuttle AN51R motherboard wins OC Café’s Overclocker Award
Overclocker Café, a great resource for novice overclockers, IT enthusiasts and “the rest of us,” has reviewed the Shuttle AN51R motherboard. After discovering the AN51R’s excellent overclocking features, top-notch performance and excellent layout, OC Café said “the Shuttle AN51R is not one to be overlooked and merits our full recommendation.”
On the performance front, the AN51R features the new NVIDIA nForce™3 250 chipset, which delivers 1600MT/s via a powerful HyperTransport link and also supports high-performance DDR400 memory. For overclockers, the BIOS features built-in allow for excellent tweaking of these great performance features.
“Shuttle's AN51R is a well-rounded and feature-rich board for the socket 754 crowd,” praised OC Café reviewer Dean Barker. “It has all the expected features and then some — onboard RAID capable of RAID 0, 1, 0+1, eight USB 2.0 ports, six channel sound with SPDIF jack, Gigabit Ethernet and Firewire®”
Another feature highlighted by OC Café’s Barker is the AN51R’s easy-to-access CMOS reset button, which allows quick recovery when an attempt to overclock goes awry.
