Shuttle SG33G5 gets the HWM Malaysia Silver Award
Based on Intel’s G33 Express chipset, the XPC SG33G5 supports all processors using Intel’s LGA775 socket, from the low-end Celeron 400 series to the quad-core Core 2 Extreme. Its multimedia credentials are decent as it comes with Intel’s new GMA 3100 graphics chipset with Intel Clear Video technology to enhance high definition video payback. A HDMI output and hence HDCP compliance, along with 7.1 audio channels with Dolby Digital Live! And DTS Connect bolsters its case further.
..Notice that Shuttle has gone for solid capacitors, so this at least matches up to retail boards….Shuttle’s popular G5 chassis gets a minor makeover here, with the façade getting the ‘glamor’ treatment with touches of piano black gloss at the edges. Shuttle has also sacrificed legacy ports (PS/2) to accommodate newer options like USB2.0 and in the case of the SG33G5 – eSATA ports.
